It has been prophesied that the last days will be full of "great calamities" and "perilous times." If these times come next month, next year, the next 20 years or more I want to be ready and I want to help YOU.
Where to start???
1. Spiritual Preparedness
The very most important preparing we can do happens every day while studying the scriptures and other church material, while spending time with family, attending church meetings, the temple, serving, and loving everyone around us. We need to always put God very, very first.
2. Listen to the Prophets.
They are called of God and they know the way. They will guide and direct us.
3. Remember fear does not come from God.
When I first started my journey of emergency preparedness I panicked. I thought something will happen in the upcoming weeks and I won't be prepared. Through a few months I have learned that Godly fear is the only fear I am to have. It took me a while and there were a lot of things that helped me realize this. These resources are in the "What motivates me?" tab.
4. The Lord has given us everything.
This perspective has helped me a lot. The Lord gives and the Lord takes. While we prepare we need to try to keep this in mind. Many members of the church are not prepared in some ways that we may be. This is hard for me to stomach after spending so many of my resources towards preparing. The Lord has given me these resources and they will be used for his work one day, if it be for my family only, or for all of those around me, it is the same.
If we are prepared we shall not fear. These are all the scriptural accounts of the Lord preparing his people. He has given us many signs as well as prophets to guide our way. It is our job to listen and follow.
